Curtis Alden is a Senior Instructor at the Houston Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy, LLC.
Curtis Alden is a career educator and has been working in the Texas public school system for over 23 years. Curtis Alden began his study of martial arts learning Taekwondo in 1999. In 2003, he worked alongside Dustan Carroll and Jay Smith. Through this friendship, Curtis and Jay were exposed to Wing Chun Kung Fu by Dustan Carroll. After seeing how practical and efficient Wing Chun is, they both become students of SiFu Dustan Carroll.
Curtis finished the Wing Chun Kung Fu system and became a formal disciple of SiFu Dustan Carroll in 2007. When SiFu Carroll moved to Huntsville, Alabama, Curtis continued to study and promote Wing Chun at the Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy, LLC, under SiFu James Sasitorn.
In 2009, Curtis Alden was promoted to a Senior Instructor at the Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy.
His focus has been on teaching close range combat, surprise attacks, and multiple attacker situations. He has been instrumental in developing and fine tuning the Women’s Self Defense curriculum. He teaches both public and private lessons, and is considered a mentor for all his juniors in both the Houston, Texas and Huntsville, Alabama Wing Chun Pai(family).
Instructor Curtis Alden has the utmost respect for all martial arts and martial artists, and is grateful to his SiFu Dustan Carroll, SiSook James Sasitorn, and SiGong Doc Savage.
